When Matthew Lake committed to forming his own company in 1997, he knew it would be hard work, but he didn't expect business to grow as fast as it did! Within a short period of becoming a NICEIC approved contractor, word spread that MJL Electrical meant a quality job and personal service from its one and only worker, Matthew, and the work started to pour in.
Finding himself in a position where he could not possibly do all the work, Matthew needed to add another electrician and van to his team. Hoping this would ease the pressure, Matthew pressed on with late nights and working weekends but the work book was still heaving at the sides. He had only one choice, more employees and more vans.
Now, over 20 years later, MJL still has a large team of qualified electricians all trained by Matthew. With the whole team living in Kirklees, MJL can cover all of Huddersfield and the surrounding areas, as well as providing a high quality national service.
